(Al-Hashr) 59 : 21
لَوْ أَنْزَلْنَا هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَىٰ جَبَلٍ لَرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُتَصَدِّعًا مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَتِلْكَ الْأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

If We had sent down this Reading upon a mountain, surely you would have seen it split asunder as dust due to awe of not being able to contain Allah; and these examples—We are quoting them for mankind so that they may meditate and reflect.

The Arabic word ‘‘Qur’an’’ means for repeated reading. Not the Arabic Qur’an, but Adhikr is for repeated reading. As told in verse 15: 90-91, all Books revealed from the Lord are is “Qur’an”. Just like it is told in verse 7: 143 that the mountain couldn’t contain Allah, it is told in this verse that if Adhikr, which is the Three-Time Knowledge and the Wise Reminder, had been sent down on a mountain, no mountain could have contained It. It doesn’t mean that the mountain would get split asunder due to not containing the Arabic Qur’an, but it means that the mountain would get split asunder due to not being able to contain the Rooh (Spirit) of the Book, which is the soul plus life of the Book (Adhikr), as explained in verse 18: 109. See explanation 16: 43-44; 33: 72-73; and 41: 41-43.
